I got this monitor as a gift for my first child and I love it! I didn't want the mat sensor monitor as I thought that was a little over cautious for me but this one is great. The built in light and the temperature sensor on the parents monitor is great! I just wish I had two parent monitors!

same as Mel who reviewed in May 2010, we also were happy with the monitor until the charging base stopped working after 14 months - gotta love 12 month warranty periods!

Was very happy with this product for the first 12 months apart from the temperature not being accurate on the monitor, but after 13 months along has now stopped working just out of warranty for $200 I expect something to work for longer than this.

we're using it since some months and really like it. Compared to other monitors electrial and magnetical fields are very low. Sound quality and range are perfect.

We had an older angel care monitor and were very impressed by the sound quality and sensitivity. I could hear the dog 2 floors down and 3 houses over barking. Unfortunately it had been dropped a few times and the batteries would pop out and turn off the machine. I was very excited to find a angel care monitor without the sensor. My son moves so much at night the senor was not needed, I am sure it would have gone off all night. I love the new parents unit with the rechargeable batteries, my son naps 3hrs a day and we were going through a lot of batteries.

I too had problems with my monitor at the one year mark. But I have to say that this company stood by its product. I had a new parent unit within two days! A great product and great customer service.
